Tools adapted to rail survey to perform geo-referenced asset inventories and produce exhaustive, structured, quantified and qualified GIS data layers of Waterways Infrastructures.

  • Signaling – navigation signs, marking;
  • Equipment – pontoons, quay, mooring;
  • Constructions – bridges, tunnels, locks, buildings;
  • Vegetation – trees, grove of trees, hedges, waterside.

2 Infrastructures Assessment and Studies

Study and Analyze the waterway condition

  • Assess the network and choose appropriate maintenance criteria;
  • Control Waterways geometry, watersides;
  • Evaluate fixing costs;
  • Study and establish an order of priority for repairs.

Work either in Geographical Coordinates or Linear Coordinates (LRS) – Node number + km/miles

  • Mileposts geo-referencing;
  • Features assigned to LRS coordinates.

3 Work control and monitoring

Work Preparation

  • Get a quantitative overview of the network;
  • Provide visual supports and documents to help perform work specifications;
  • Make planning and budgeting.

Work Monitoring

  • Follow-up of the construction site;
  • Inspect subcontractors;
  • Memorize work at different phases.

Work Reception

  • Inventory and assess deliverable;
  • Control work specifications.
